Pte King Frederick Zerbst KIA 04/10/1917 Aged 21
He was born 18 Jun 1896 at Miram, near Nhill in Victoria Australia and was a Farm Labourer. He was the 10th child in a family of 11.
Son of Gottlieb Robert Zerbst and Emily nee Eyers.
HIs brother, Hartfield also enlisted, but returned home safely.
King Frederick enlisted 24/07/1915. The poor guy was admitted to Cairo Hospital with mumps 23/02/1916. Later that year he was admitted to Hospital in England with Trench Feet. There is some discrepancy with his missing in action and death dates. One documents states Reported missing in action 13/10/17 and reported killed in action 20/10/17. The other document states he was reported missing and reported killed in action 4/10/17.

Are they brothers ? Same family ? Who knows ?

Frank Manning was born 19th april 1884 at Bloxham, Oxfordshire England,and was married with Keria Manning,
Univerity Heights, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.He engaged at Prince Albert 20th april 1915.
Tom Manning was born 14th october 1884 at Taunton, Somerset England, and was unmarried at first view,
He engaged at Prince Albert 17th april 1915.
