Roy was from Ridgetown, Ontario, Canada.
For Shirley (Clingersmith) Godfree (Tillsonburg, Ontario, Canada)

Pte Charles Carr 07/12/1917 aged 27
Cpt William Geoffrey Vyvyan 21/01/1876 - 24/10/1914
William joined the Royal Welsh Fus. in 06/1899 and took part in the relief of Pekin, China, at the time of the Boxer Rebellion.
He was promoted Lieutenant in 05/1902 and Captain in 04/1909.
He was reported missing after the action in Zonnebeke 21/10/1914 and died in German hands, leaving a young widow and four small children.

and for the Royal Welch fusiliers & Dr H.J. Krijnen
Pte Alfred Matthews 19/01/1898 - 25/09/1917
He was born in Belvedere Kent, and 6th of 8 children and named after his granfather.
He was living at home in Fulham, West London when he enlisted on the 08/11/1916.

Sgt Harry Craddock DCM MM 1889 - 20/09/1917
He was born in Dudley
L/Cpl Jesse Wilcox Roach 19/08/1917 aged 29
Jesse was married to Alice Dyoss in about 1909 and had one child residing at 88, Pargeter Street, Walsall.
At the time of his enlistment in the Army at Darlaston on Wednesday 26/05/1915 he was employed as the manager of a public house.
Drafted to France on Tuesday 26/10/1915, Jesse was killed during the Third Battle of Ypres.
His bn was a Pioneer Bn and at the time of his death were engaged behind the front line at Wieltje Dump.
Although not directly involved in any engagements they suffered five men killed, presumably from shell fire.
