Son of Alfred Kidd and of Hannah Kidd (nee Crabtree); husband of Constance Revill Kidd, of Harpenden, Hertfordshire.
From the Widnes Weekly News Friday June 16th 1944:
WIDNES CONSTABLE - Missing from Air Ops.
News has recently been received that Flight Engineer Philip Sidney Kidd has been reported missing from operations over enemy occupied territory. Although a native of Southport, he was, for seven years a police constable at Widnes before joining the Royal Air Force in July, 1943. His home is at 8 Ditchfield Road, Ditton, where his wife, formerly Miss Constance Hibbertson, resides with their five years old boy. Flt. Engineer Kidd is 30 years of age and is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Kidd of St. Annes, Lancs.
