Sgt Philip Sidney Kidd aged 30 Son of Alfred Kidd and of Hannah Kidd (nee Crabtree); husband of Constance Revill Kidd, of Harpenden, Hertfordshire. From the Widnes Weekly News Friday June 16th 1944: WIDNES CONSTABLE - Missing from Air Ops. News has recently been received that Flight Engineer Philip Sidney Kidd has been reported missing from operations over enemy occupied territory. Although a native of Southport, he was, for seven years a police constable at Widnes before joining the Royal Air Force in July, 1943. His home is at 8 Ditchfield Road, Ditton, where his wife, formerly Miss Constance Hibbertson, resides with their five years old boy. Flt.
