I am the nephew of Edward Bernard Holden Corbett Private 34th Battalion Australian Army killed in Belgium 17th May 1917 19 yrs old, buried Tancrez Farm Cemetery, Wallonie Belgium. I think it is sad that this cemetery is never mentioned in any ceremonies that Australia holds in regards to our soldiers even on the 100 year anniversary 25th April 2015, I know not many Australians are buried there but they fought in a war for Australia and they need to be recognised for their heroic feats, Lest We Forget, I was named after my uncle he preferred to be called Bernard as my father his brother was a young lad when war was declared he missed his brother so when I was born he called me Bernard a name I am very proud of, my uncle will never be forgotten as my children and now my grand children have a photo of him and know where he is buried. if anyone has any information on my uncle please email me on lnbcorbett( at sign)optusnet.com.au. Rest In Peace Dear Uncle. Always Remembered. Bernard Corbett

My uncle John William Grocott is buried in Villiers station cemetery. He was killed by a snipers bullet while on lookout. In 1979 I was on a coach tour and we stopped outside a cemetery in France so that some Canadian ladies could visit their brother s grave. I said to my husband that my mother s brother was buried somewhere in France. When I got back to England I asked her about it.I Couldn t believe it
Out of all the cemeteries in France we had sat outside villers station the very one he was buried in.I have never managed to get back there.I do have a photo of him,how do I put it n this site?

One Hundred years on from WW1 our thoughts return to remember those who fought in WW1 that we may live. With the approach of ANZAC Day it is inevitable that thoughts of all the Wars return to minds, and we honour those who fought and survived, along with those who fell and died. Those we loved, along with those we never knew, for whom our loved ones mourned and cried. In Memory of them All.
May all Soldiers who carried our lives in their hands, carry the grace of God in their Hearts for all time.
Rest in Peace Private William John Rau, 25/809 b New Zealand 1891 d in France 1917 , Conde Sur L`Scout Community Cemetery .

He had lived at 339 Dufferin Street, Toronto with Mrs J Garden before leaving for WW1 service in France. He was employed in the yards of James T Gilchrist Lumber Co Ltd at 496 Gladstone Avenue. His name was ERNEST BALL ., and he was killed near to the village of PLOEGSTEERT . It was very emotional for me to see him as he looked with sad eyes , before he set off on this ONE WAY TRIP.
